Is it too early to call Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final a must-win for the Canadiens?
Montreal entered Monday’s matchup with the defending champion Lightning on a hot streak, but were bullied in a 5-1 defeat in Tampa Bay. Goalie Carey Price gave up a playoff-high five goals on 27 in the defeat, turning in his worst save percentage (.815) of the postseason.
The Lightning onslaught was simply too much against Montreal, dominating shots on goal 27-19. Both teams had power play opportunities (Tampa Bay three and Montreal two), but only the Lightning could make good on the opportunities.
The Canadiens need to come up with something to avoid a potentially insurmountable 2-0 hole, even with the series moving back to Montreal for Games 3 and 4. With that, here’s how to watch Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Canadiens and Lightning:
