With only five games left in the regular season, LSU and Texas A&M both look to finish strong ahead of the SEC tournament.
The Tigers have won their past three games after they dropped back-to-back games at the end of January. The Aggies, meanwhile, just lost a four-point game to Vanderbilt and have won only three of their past seven games.
A win for LSU would help maintain a half-game lead for the No. 2 spot in the SEC. They’re behind conference-leading South Carolina by three games. Texas A&M sits eighth in the SEC and tied with Auburn and Arkansas.
The last time these two teams faced on Jan. 11, The Tigers won in a 87-70 landslide victory thanks to 20 points and 18 rebounds from Angel Reese and 21 points from Aneesha Morrow. Endyia Rogers paced the Aggies in that contest with 27 points and nine rebounds.
Reese remains a threat to score and on the boards. She tallied her four consecutive double-double in the Tigers’ win over Alabama on Feb. 11 and leads the team with 19.5 points and 12.6 rebounds.
Rogers leads Texas A&M with 12.8 points and 4.0 assists per game. Aicha Coulibaly chips in with 12.5 points per game and 5.7 assists.
