The Nuggets have pulled another step ahead, dishing the Timberwolves a 122-113 loss thanks to Jamal Murray.
This is Murray’s first postseason run since the bubble season, as he’s been out with an ACL injury the last two playoffs. He established himself then, and despite the time off for recovery, he’s made sure people still know his name and his game after serving up what CBS called a “40-piece wing dinner lemon pepper style” against Minnesota in Game 2.

Wednesday’s performance makes him the Nugget with the most 40-point playoff games, bumping him to five to surpass Alex English. Murray only has four 40-point performances in his regular season career, according to ESPN.
And he wasn’t the only one with 40. Anthony Edwards bested him on the other side of the floor by a singular point, but his efforts, while worthy of applause, were no match for what the Nuggets had up their sleeve.
Minnesota’s been struggling with Karl-Anthony Towns’ lacking production value. In Game 1 he had 11 points, and in Game 2 he added only 10 more.
His below-average shooting is most definitely building up frustration, but that could be a good thing for the Wolves as it could translate to menacing aggression when he’s back on his home court Friday and result in a scoring frenzy. Then again, if not, maybe it’s worth questioning the type of postseason competitor Towns is.

Nuggets vs. Timberwolves schedule
The series has made its move to Minneapolis after two victories for the Nuggets in Denver. The series will only return to Colorado for Game 5 if necessary. But, right now the Nuggets lead the series 2-0, so it’s not looking like there will need to be those offered tie-breaker games. Who knows though, maybe the Timberwolves will manage to turn the tides in their favor when they’re back in the Target Center.
