ESPN’s “College GameDay” got it right last week. Of course, there was no doubt college football’s premier show would be in Dallas for the Red River Showdown, but the game turned out to be one of the wildest of the season.
In fact, ESPN hasn’t exactly missed with its “College GameDay” locations this year. Each of the last four games the show traveled to preview were decided by one possession. All have finished within two possessions.
Is another barnburner in store for Week 7? “College GameDay” is headed somewhere it hasn’t been since 2016, for a matchup that might decide the balance of power in a loaded conference.

Here’s the information on ESPN’s “College GameDay” location and guest picker for Week 7.
Where is ‘College GameDay’ location for Week 7?
- Location: Seattle, Washington
- Time: 9 a.m. ET
- Matchup: No. 8 Oregon vs. No. 7 Washington
“College GameDay” is headed to Seattle for a blockbuster Pac-12 matchup between Oregon and Washington.
It’s the first time the show has made it to Seattle since 2016, when USC visited Washington for a critical late-season matchup. The Huskies reached the College Football Playoff that year, and they are hoping this season ends in a similar way.
It’s absolutely realistic that the winner of Saturday’s game ends up in the playoff. Both Oregon and Washington are off to an undefeated start, and both have veteran quarterbacks in the thick of the Heisman Trophy race.
If USC QB Caleb Williams doesn’t win the award, there is a great chance one of Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr. does. This game could go a long toward giving one of those fifth-year signal-callers the advantage.
This is also the final Pac-12 matchup between Oregon and Washington, though their rivalry won’t be going away as both prepare to join the Big Ten in 2024.
