The Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2023 included just two players: Fred McGriff and Scott Rolen. Will there be more inductees in this year’s group?
Voters certainly have a strong list of candidates. Adrian Beltre, Joe Mauer and Chase Utley are among the players who have jumped onto the ballot for the first time. Beltre appears to be a first-year lock, and Mauer is on track to be enshrined based on early results.
The bigger questions arise when discussing the voting veterans. Gary Sheffield is on the ballot for the 10th and final time, and Billy Wagner and Manny Ramirez are in Year 9 and Year 8, respectively.
It’s time to find out which stars will get that special call to the Hall of Fame.
