Kylian Mbappe is once again making headlines in the transfer window as his future at Paris Saint-Germain remains uncertain.
Rumours of a potential move to Real Madrid have reignited despite the PSG star signing a contract extension last summer. This comes after a formal letter from the striker to the club stating he did not wish to prolong his deal, which expires next year, was made public.
Due to Mbappe’s quality and the nature of the transfer market, it will not be an easy task to sign the player from the Ligue 1 champions. It is likely that transfer news surrounding the 24-year-old will last for most of the window.
The Sporting News looks at who Mbappe’s agent is and their role in possible transfer developments.

Who is Kylian Mbappe’s agent?
The agent who will have a huge say in Mbappe’s future is his mother, Fayza Lamari. She has already held talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about the club’s stance on their forward’s future.
Mbappe’s father, Wilfried, previously served as his agent — while Lamari handled his commercial dealings — before the World Cup winner signed with WME Sports in 2022. With that company more interested in his marketing off the pitch, and his parents now separated, his mother is now in charge of his footballing activities.
Yvan Le Mee, who is the agent of Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy, claimed Mbappe’s family representatives are hindering his career and that he would already be at the Santiago Bernabeu were it not for his mother.
He told RMC: “Mbappe’s mother doesn’t do the work of an agent. She isn’t capable of it. The reality is that you have to do what you know how to do. I wanted to open a restaurant but I don’t know how to cook, so I didn’t.
“It is one thing to look after your son, and another thing entirely to offer your services to 20, 30 or 100 players. Agents are people who do deals. I am convinced that if Kylian Mbappe had had an agent when he was in talks with Real Madrid two years ago, he would already be there.”

Kylian Mbappe PSG contract: Salary, expiry date
Despite flirting heavily with a move to Real Madrid last summer on a free transfer, Mbappe eventually signed a new contract with PSG, putting off a move away from the French capital for a time.
His deal with PSG was a two-year contract with a player option for a third year, much like the deal that Lionel Messi signed with PSG the summer before. Messi declined his option at the end of the 2022/23, walking away in favour of a forthcoming move to Inter Miami. Mbappe has told the club he does not want to activate the option to extend in 2024.
According to Sky, the PSG deal surpassed the terms of the concurrent Real Madrid offer, which included a £110 million ($137 million) signing bonus and £20m ($25m) net salary. Sky said that the PSG signing bonus was also in the region of £100m ($125m) with a monthly wage (£4m / $5m) that doubled his previous earnings.
PSG signed Mbappe from Monaco for £153.9m ($195.7m) in 2018 and will want to recoup at least the majority of that fee if they sell him now. He is a leading candidate for the 2023 Ballon d’Or and the prospect of losing him for nothing in 2024 is not something the club will wish to consider.
PSG Community claimed that Mbappe will cost Madrid £171m ($217.5m) at least, but president Florentino Perez is said to be prepared to meet those demands.
