Group G at the Women’s World Cup is one of the more open groups of the tournament, with Sweden, South Africa, Argentina and Italy all vying to qualify for the knockout rounds.
Sweden, who finished third at the last World Cup and have reached the final once in 2003, lived up their favourites to progress tag by doing so after winning their first two matches.
Italy had a brilliant 2019 World Cup, defeating Australia in the groups and reaching the quarterfinals for the first time since 1991 (and they did it at their first tournament in 20 years!)
Argentina and South Africa have qualified for their second World Cup in a row, and will be looking to win their first ever matches at the World Cup.

Who will win Group G?
Sweden are expected to have few problems winning Group G, being short priced favourites to top the group without difficulty at the start of the tournament.
Italy were given an outside chance of finishing top, with Argentina and South Africa’s lack of World Cup pedigree and experience counting against them.

Who will qualify from Group G?
With Sweden tipped to qualify comfortably from Group G, bookmakers predicted Italy and Argentina to fight it out for the second qualifying spot.

Group G round of 16 matchups
The two teams that qualify from Group G will not have an easy task, as they will be paired with the top two teams from Group E, which contains the two finalists of the 2019 World Cup in USA and the Netherlands.
A potential matchup between Sweden and either of those sides is mouthwatering, but the USA are the team to avoid at the World Cup with their favourites tag and desire to win a third straight World Cup.
