The road to WrestleMania begins at WWE’s signature event, the Royal Rumble.
The event and Royal Rumble match comes to Lucas Oil Stadium on February 1. In the U.S., the event is available on Peacock.
Created in 1988, the event features a men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match with 30 participants competing in an over-the-top-rope challenge.
The last person in both Rumble matches earns an opportunity at a championship of their choosing at WrestleMania 41 in April.
Cody Rhodes won the match for the second straight year, outlasting CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. He took advantage of his win last year and won the Undisputed WWE championship from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Will Punk or McIntyre get the job done this year?

Rhodes will be in action at the event, defending the Undisputed WWE Title in a ladder match against Kevin Owens.
Meanwhile, the Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defend the WWE Tag Team Titles in a Two Out of Three Falls match against the Motor City Machine Guns.

Over 70,000 fans are in Lucas Oil Stadium. The women’s Royal Rumble match starts things off.
Iyo Sky is number one. Former world champion Liv Morgan is number two. The crowd was on fire to start the match as Sky used her athleticism to her advantage. Morgan tried to eliminate Sky at various points to start. Former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is number three. The future has arrived.
Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria is number four. I love the stats on the bottom of the screen. From wrestler info to what’s going on in the Rumble match itself. Makes it seem very legit. Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green came out next. She tried to take everyone out, but to no avail. B-Fab came out at number six. At this moment, the only one who had a legit shot at winning was Morgan.
American Made’s Ivy Nile came out at seven and landed several German Suplexes. Zoey Stark came in eighth and landed hard knees and suplexes. Lash Legend, from NXT, is ninth. The NXT brand is making an impact early. B-Fab was the first eliminated by Chelsea Green. Things kicked into high gear with Bianca Belair coming in at number ten. She ran wild, proving her star status. Stark got backup thanks to Shayna Baszler.
Nile eliminated Valkyria, setting up a future title match. Bayley, last year’s Royal Rumble winner, came out next. She went right to Perez, who are in a rivalry. Bayley then went after former tag team partner Sky. Pure Fusion Collective is now complete as Sonya Deville came out at number thirteen. Green “called a timeout” outside the ring. Maxxine Dupri came out at number 14. She went after Nile, eliminating her. Dupri was eliminated by Pure Fusion Collective.
Naomi, Belair’s partner, came out at 15. Pure Fusion Collective all got eliminated, making things somewhat even. Jaida Parker came out at 16. Chelsea Green eliminated Legend after a comedic moment. Piper Niven came out to support Green. Niven accidentally took out Green. Natalya came out at 18.
