It’s still receiving waves of mixed reviews but, at least for now, it appears WWE Speed could very well be here to stay. One thing that can not be taken away from the show the exclusively broadcasts on X (formerly known as Twitter) every Thursday is just how wildly entertaining it has been — Andrade and Karl Anderson keeping that trend going.
In a bracket matchup of the #1 Contender’s Tournament that promised the victor a shot at facing Tommaso Champa in seven days, that eventual winner going on to battle WWE Speed Champion Ricochet, Andrade didn’t play with his food.
And, unfortunately for Anderson, that’s exactly what he ended up being: food, and not even an entire meal.
He was more of a Hot Pocket or a ham and cheese Lunchable.
THIS WEEK on #WWESpeed, exclusively on @X!
Who will advance and face @CiampaWWE next week? Will it be @AndradeElIdolo or @MachineGunKA? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/5iJIzJo939

The offensive onslaught from Andrade was swift and feral. It was all Anderson could do to catch his breath between blows — his only real chance at a win coming in the first 10 seconds of the match when he pounced on Andrade and nearly landed a swift three-count.
The veteran Luchador was able to kick out of the count and, from there, it wasn’t really a competition at all. Andrade made quick work of Anderson over the 35 seconds to follow, winning by pinfall with two minutes and 14 seconds still remaining on the three-minute timer.
Champa, one-half of the veteran tag team “DIY”, has a chance to add prestige to both his own name and to that of the team shared with good friend and longtime partner Johnny Gargano.
But Andrade has been craving gold ever since his return a few months ago, so their matchup on Thursday, June 13 will be both physically and mentally demanding for both.
And they will have only three minutes to stamp their ticket to a dance with the high-flying Ricochet.
No pressure though, amirite?
