The XFL season continues with three more games this weekend after Thursday’s matchup between the Battlehawks and Sea Dragons.
The Defenders and Vipers are set for a standalone battle out west on Saturday. Vegas is coming off a difficult loss to the Renegades after surrendering 19 consecutive points to blow a sizable lead. The Defenders rode their defense — and one of the XFL’s best fan bases — to a home win over the Sea Dragons in Week 1.

Both of Sunday’s matchups have plenty at stake, even in Week 2. The Brahmas and Guardians are both looking to avoid an 0-2 start. They’ll meet in Orlando for the Guardians’ home opener. The Renegades and Roughnecks, both 1-0, look like two of the league’s strongest teams early on. Sunday night’s battle will go a long way toward determining who finishes at the top of the standings.
It’s also a matchup of veteran coaches, with former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops going up against longtime NFL defensive guru Wade Phillips.
