Less than 24 hours after one of the most thrilling games of the postseason, the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays are back at it.
Tuesday, the Yankees faced a 2-0 series deficit and stared elimination in its face as they trailed the Blue Jays, 6-1, in the bottom of the third. New York’s response was that of legends, as it rang off eight unanswered runs over the next three innings to earn an impressive 9-6 win.
Now, the Yankees will again look to avoid elimination in Game 4.
New York hopes its Game 3 rally can serve as a turning point in the series, while Toronto aims to replicate the play that built its five-run lead and avoid the mistakes that let it slip away. At stake is the Blue Jays’ first ALCS appearance since 2016, while the Yankees are looking to force a decisive Game 5 in Canada.
Expect the stars to continue shining, as Game 3 was a showcase for the excellence of Toronto’s Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and New York’s Aaron Judge. Each team will lean heavily on its marquee players in this pivotal matchup.
