This page contains information on how to get the mythical Isu bow weapon known as Noden’s Arc in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
While Valhalla contains three other mythical weapons based on mythology, a fourth weapon created by the first civilization, the Isu, was also discovered – and the method for finding and unlocking it was hidden within the Collector’s Edition of the game.
After many users started to report that they had found a hidden bow under a rock that could be broken via an saving and reloading exploit, it was confirmed by the game’s creative director that there was a true way to unlock the weapon that had not been found, and the secret lied with deciphering the language of the Isu that could be found both in-game and on several sections of the collector’s edition.
The YouTube Channel Access the Animus had already deciphered much of the Isu text already, and with the help of the developers, found the remaining details:
- A phrase “The Key is the Sword” hinted at the Excalibur Greatsword, which was also hiding in a key art of a raven in the collector’s edition. The in-game description for Excalibur also mentions “Legends say it can break anything.”
- Mention of a lake led to a large lake found in Eurvicscire, and others have noted that the shape of the lake also seems to match the shape of the island of Singapore, with the location of Ubisoft’s Singapore as the X marking the spot of the bow (not to mention the creator of the Isu language working at Ubisoft Singapore).
- Secret Isu text on the back of lithographs in the collector’s edition can be combined to decipher the time of day the rock can be broken – when the sun has set.
How to Unlock Noden’s Arc
With the above knowledge in hand, travel to a large lake in northern Eurvicscire. It is located just to the south of the Brunton Turret where a Lost Drengr fight is found.
On the southern edge of the lake is a small island, and it contains a single seemingly unbreakable ore rock amid the shrubs. You will need the Excalibur Greatsword for this, but just swinging it wildly will not do the trick.
Be patient and wait for the sun to set in the west. As the sun leaves the horizon, begin swinging at the rock, and it will shatter – revealing Noden’s Arc – a mythical Legendary Bow.
