The Predator has officially landed in Fortnite
. Decloaking near his pod, Battle Pass holders are expected to hunt down the elusive alien in order to nab his skin. This is easier said than done – he isn’t a pushover like the Mandalorian.
How to Unlock the Predator Skin in Fortnite
In order to unlock the Predator skin, players will need to complete a set of challenges. These are as follows:
- Find the Predator’s Mysterious Pod
- Talk to 3 NPCs – Beef Boss, Remedy, and Dummy
- Collect 3 Health Packs
- Defeat Predator
Where to find the Predator’s Pod
The Predator’s Pod can be found in the top left corner of Stealthy Stronghold.
Where to Talk to Beef Boss, Remedy, and Dummy
Beef Boss can be found either at the Durr Burger food truck or the Durr Burger restaurant. Remedy and Dummy aren’t too far away, positioned just North of the food truck in a house and around Pleasant Park respectfully.
Collect 3 Health Packs
The last challenge is Collecting 3 Health Packs. Health packs can be found all around the map and to make matters easier, simply pick up (and drop) the first one you find three times to complete this challenge.
How to Find the Predator in Fortnite
By completing the Predator challenges, players were able to unlock emotes, sprays, and more. The real prize involves hunting The Predator himself. Thankfully, he isn’t that tough to find. All you have to do is head to Stealthy Stronghold (the same place where his pod crashed) and look around. You should be able to find him walking about the northern or central areas shortly after entering the zone.
How to Defeat the Predator
This won’t be an easy fight. For one, you’ll have to contend with other players. I’d advise dropping in with a friend or two; the last thing you’d want it to go down before getting a chance to fight the Predator. The other reason why this isn’t an easy fight is that the Predator can turn invisible. Trying to fight a group of players and a cloaked hunter – forget about it
As soon as the Predator sees you, he’ll charge. Shotgun blasts to the face are recommended. After taking some damage, he’ll leap away and cloak. Don’t let up. If he gets in close, he’ll attack with his wrist blades (which are deadly). Also, make sure to keep a lookout for sneaky players. Squad play is the best; as long as one of your teammates takes him down, you’ll unlock the skin.
The Predator’s Cloaking Device
Like the Mandalorian, the Predator comes bearing gifts. Upon his death, he’ll drop a cloaking device that allows you to temporarily turn invisible. It isn’t overpowered as switching to a weapon, entering a pool of water, and taking damage will cause you to decloak. There’s also a 30-second cooldown between uses. It’s a nice little trick that could get you out of a losing fight (or the drop on an unsuspecting opponent) but it won’t give you an easy win.
Completing the Final Fortnite Predator Challenges
Unlocking the Predator skin in Fortnite is only the first step. There are other goodies worth nabbing as well, including the remaining pieces to the Predator’s Jungle Hunter set. These challenges are rather straight forward. One of them requires completing a bounty as the Predator for instance. Or being cloaked for 30 seconds within 10 meters of a rival player (again, as the Predator).
The remaining Predator challenges and rewards are:
- Collect legendary weapons or rarer – The Hunt loading screen
- Defeat Predator – Predator outfit
- Complete a Bounty as Predator – Hunter’s Trophy back bling
- Visit Predator’s apartment in Hunter’s Haven as the Predator – Bio-Helmet removal
- Spend 30s within 10m of a player as Predator – Yautja Wristblades
- Deal damage while thermal is active as Predator – Hunter’s Arsenal weapon wrap
Completing the last remaining few challenges will unlock the Predator’s complete Jungle Hunter Set. Now, all we need is an Arnold NPC to hunt!Source
