Sell Your junk!

Early on pick up everything. There’s a chance some of the junk you find is worth over $750! Every eddie counts early on. The junk you find around Night City isn’t “owned” by anyone either, so no one cares if you take it from a public place.

Most junk and consumables don’t weigh anything either, so there’s no penalty for stuffing your pockets with these useful things.

  • Do not buy the crafting perk that automatically disassembles junk early on. It’ll destroy the junk that sells for a lot of money too, which is when you’ll probably need to be in the junk selling business most.

You can sell junk in bulk at any shop with the press of a button (check the bottom right corner of your screen when you’re in a shop menu) and you can sell other items too. If you’re not going to get into crafting, consider selling extra weapons instead of disassembling them.

Remember, Night City is littered with Drop Stations, the yellow stations (of varying size) marked on your map by a box. You can quickly sell your junk there.

Take Care of Reported Crimes

Complete NCPD Reported Crimes around the map. You’ll not only get paid for these quick jobs that earn you XP for your chosen playstyle, but you’ll often find other goods you can sell after. Some NCPD Reported Crimes are split into multiple parts, so make sure you see them through completely for your full reward.

Some of these are faster to complete than others, especially if you’re running in and gunning. Assault in Progress should never take more than a few minutes, but the others can take more time due to the sheer number of enemies usually involved.

Stealing from the System

Use quickhacking often and get at least level 5 Intelligence. Then, unlock Advanced Datamine perk in Breach Protocol to increase the amount of money you make from Access Points (these can be found most often in enemy territory as control panels, laptops, antenna, and more) by 50%. There’s another level of this to upgrade the money you make by 100%.

If you hack and unlock at least one or two Datamine sequences with the first level of Advanced Datamine, you should make $600+ each time. The reward is random, though, but most times we’ve hacked we’ve received money as a reward along with components.

Earn Unlimited Money (and Crafting XP)

If you’re looking to make some easy money, look no further than the dozens of vending machines scattered around Night City. Specifically, you’ll want to find the machines selling items for 10 Eddies each (not the $5 items)

Once you’ve located one of these vending machines, purchase all the items available until they are sold out.

Pick up all the items you purchased from the ground and add them to your inventory.

Now, open your inventory and find the items you just purchased. At this point, you want to dismantle all of them to obtain common and uncommon crafting materials.

Unlocking the Mechanic crafting perk will give you more crafting materials from disassembling items. It’s recommended that you spend one of your perk points on this to maximize your profit.

Next, head to your Crafting menu and craft as many uncommon (green) weapons as you can with the resources you obtained. You’ll gain crafting XP for each weapon crafted, which adds up very quickly and can be utilized to gain unlimited crafting XP.

Look for items that sell for as much as possible. You can view the sale price of each item by hovering over it before crafting it.

Lastly, head to a vendor or drop station to sell your newly crafted weapons for a hefty profit.

Using the Nekomata rifle in the photo above as an example, we were able to make $78 Eddies for each one (as it cost $100 Eddies for 10 cans of soda that were used for crafting materials). If you are purchasing as many cans as possible around the city and selling dozens of weapons this is an incredibly quick and easy way to make unlimited money as you explore Night City.
