The Playstation 5 will launch on November 12th in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea – and on November 19th in the rest of the world – while Sony has confirmed that the PS5 console will release with several first party launch games.

Confirmed PlayStation 5 Games

Currently, there are few games that have been confirmed to be a launch game for the PS5, with many more considered to be in the “Launch Window” of the PS5.

Many of the games will offer a high-fidelity mode or high-framerate mode that allows you to choose between prioritizing resolution or framerate per-game.

Some games also offer an optional upgrade path for PS4 owners of the game to the PS5 version.

Games available at the launch of the PlayStation 5 include:

Game Title Resolution Framerate PS4 Upgrade
Astro’s Playroom TBA TBA N/A
Demon’s Souls 1440p (4K in Fidelity mode) 60 fps (default)

*PS4 digital purchases will allow you to redeem the digital PS5 version of the game. If you purchased the disc version, you can upgrade by inserting your PS4 disc into the PS5. If you have the PS5 Digital Edition (disc-free), there is no way to redeem the upgrade.

**Please Note – Currently, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered can only be purchased through the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. At this time, it cannot be purchased separately, nor can it be upgraded from the PS4 version of the game.

In addition to Sony’s own launch titles, other developers will be releasing certain games around the time of the PS5 launch date, and many games released earlier in the year will be updated to take advantage of the PS5’s power.
