Konami has announced a Silent Hill Transmission that promises “the latest updates” for the series – and you can watch it with us here on IGN.
We don’t know what’s coming in the showcase, but the announcement tweet reads: “In your restless dreams, do you see that town? The latest updates for the SILENT HILL series, will be revealed during the #SILENTHILL Transmission.” That hopefully means we’ll be seeing at least one new game announced for the franchise.
How to Watch the Silent Hill Transmission Stream
The Silent Hill Transmission will begin tomorrow, October 19 at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK (that’s October 20 at 8am AEDT). We don’t yet know how long the showcase will be.
You can stream the Silent Hill Transmission in any of the following places:
If you can’t tune in live, we’ll have all the news as soon as it breaks, as well as every announcement in a single round-up. Given how long it’s been since we got a full new Silent Hill game, it will be well worth tuning in.
Silent Hill was originally released on PlayStation in 1999 and tells the story of Harry Mason – a man searching for his missing adopted daughter in the titular fictional American town. The survival horror was a huge hit, spawning numerous sequels and spin-offs over the years. We’ve gone on to call Silent Hill 2 one of the best games of all time. After the last planned mainline game, Silent Hills was canceled, this will hopefully be our first look at the next steps for the series.
