In celebration of the upcoming Uncharted film, the video game and movie versions of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer will be arriving as Outfits in Fortnite on February 17.
Fortnite’s latest collaboration was teased via its official website last week, where it asked players to work together to solve a riddle with a 14-character password. Creators like @thesquatingdog on Twitter solved the riddle pretty quickly with the password ‘sicparvismagna.’ Those who have played the Uncharted games will remember that Latin phrase is from Sir Francis Drake’s ring that Nathan Drake has. It was also linked to the real Sir Francis Drake.
Once the password is entered, users are taken to an unlisted video on Fortnite’s YouTube channel that shows the Outfits in action. The film versions of the Outfits are based on Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake and Sophia Ali’s Chloe Frazer. The video game versions are based on their looks from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, respectively. Fun fact: this will be Tom Holland’s second appearance in Fortnite following his arrival as Spider-Man.
The different styles for the outfits can be switched at any time in the Locker, and Chloe’s Outfit is sold with Chloe’s Pack Back Bling. There will also be items to purchase in the Uncharted Set, including the Second Hand Saber Pickaxe, Parashurama Axe Pickaxe, and Update Journal Emote.
The YouTube description also teases that, “after Nathan Drake spends some time on the Island, he’ll leave behind some treasure maps for you.” Once a map is discovered, it will lead players to buried treasure that can be dug up with a Pickaxe.
These Outfits have yet to be officially announced, but they are already being celebrated online by those like Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann.
