Big E is currently one of the top Superstars on Friday Night Smackdown and his push has truly helped establish himself in the company in the past few months. At the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Big E won the Money In The Bank ladder match and became the owner of the Money In The Bank briefcase. Vince McMahon was especially happy with Big E after he won the match.
Due to him winning the briefcase, Big E has the opportunity to rise to the top of the company, should he choose his moment to cash in his briefcase at the right moment.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Big E made it clear that he is more than ready to become the face of the company once he becomes a top champion after cashing in his briefcase.
“It’s a tall task, but I’m ready. I’ve been beating the drum of meditation over the past year, and it’s helped so much by focusing on the present moment… So I’m not worried about this gargantuan task of being the face of the company. I’m too focused on doing my very best to be entertaining with whatever I’m given… I’m ready, and I’ve been ready.”
It remains to be seen if the company has enough faith in Big E to pull the trigger and have him cash in on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship somewhere down the line.
