Booker T Is Not A Fan Of Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles

By | May 24, 2022

The Usos are your Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions and you better acknowledge that. Jimmy and Jey won the titles after defeating RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro last week on SmackDown.

The internet wrestling community is divided over WWE’s decision to unify the SmackDown and RAW Tag Team Championships. Some are in favor of the move. Others are not. Booker T belongs to the latter school of thought.

The WWE Hall of Famer shared his two cents on the tag team title unifications that took place this past Friday on the blue brand during a recent episode of the Hall of Fame podcast. It is safe to say that Booker T is not a fan of the decision.

“I like having at least two tag team belts, one Smackdown, one Raw. You may not understand what that does to the body of guys trying to do that, but they’re going to have to defend those championships on the house shows, European tours, Monday night, Friday night, and put those guys in position where they got to work all week long.

“I’m thinking about protecting myself and making sure I can have a minute with my family. To have to defend the Tag Team Championship all the time, those guys aren’t going to have no time at home. I’m going to tell you that right now. They’re going to have about one day at home to prepare and one day to get ready to get back on the road.”

It was previously reported that WWE reached the decision to put the belts on the Usos at the last minute. The Usos have made history and there’s no arguing that. We’ll have wait and see what’s next in store for the brothers.
