Carmella is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Queen Zelina Vega. Mella has become a true veteran of the women’s roster. The company signed her way back in 2013. Carmella has been a valuable asset to WWE.

WWE recently had to make a ton of changes after an outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. Roman Reigns had to sit out a pay-per-view after a positive test. This altered the entire WWE Championship scene. Carmella recently revealed that she also contracted COVID.

Carmella appeared with her fiancé, Corey Graves, on Bare With Us. It was there that she revealed that she recently tested positive for COVID. Mella said her symptoms were never too bad.

“I got COVID. I got-got about what? A week-and-a-half ago? No, two weeks ago now. Yeah, I woke up super just not feeling well, just really tired, run down and took some tests and I tested positive and then I mean, it was like a cold. It was kind of like a little bit worse than a cold. I was down and out for like three or four days just not really doing much. But, on the up and up, feeling better now.”

Corey Graves confirmed that he did not test positive for the virus. WWE made him take multiple tests before he was allowed to return to work. Both Carmella and Corey are vaccinated.

Carmella hasn’t wrestled since the January 3rd edition of Raw. Zelina and Carmella defended the tag team titles against Rhea Ripley and Nikki A.S.H. The WWE Universe is looking forward to her return. It’s good to hear that Mella had a quick recovery!
