In a surprising turn of events, AEW star Chris Jericho sent out a message to CM Punk following his WWE in-ring return. While the momentous occasion wasn’t broadcasted globally, fans were treated with glimpses of Punk’s return through various social media platforms.

WWE’s official Instagram page, in particular, shared a captivating clip of Punk’s entrance, complete with his iconic “It’s Clobberin Time” taunt on the ramp.

Chris Jericho and CM Punk engaged in a memorable feud in WWE back in 2012, leading to a showdown at WrestleMania 28 titled ‘Best in the World vs. Best in the World.’ During this intense rivalry, Jericho took a personal approach by bringing up the challenges within Punk’s family.

Although both shared the AEW locker room from 2021 to 2023, an anticipated match between them never materialized in Tony Khan’s promotion.

CM Punk’s lawyer calls out Chris Jericho – What Went Down?

CM Punk’s lawyer, Stephen P. New, and Chris Jericho engaged in a Christmas Day X (formerly Twitter) exchange.

The discussion stemmed from news about lengthy Non-Disclosure Agreements signed by Ace Steel and CM Punk post AEW All Out 2022. Jericho, who hadn’t signed an NDA, responded to Stephen P. New, telling him to “shut his mark as* up.”

The disagreement arose because New wasn’t present during the All Out backstage brawl, unlike Jericho.

It’s important to note that earlier this year, CM Punk criticized Jericho, calling him a ‘liar’ and a ‘stooge’ in his infamous Instagram story. This could have potentially prompted Jericho’s response to Punk’s lawyer.

Despite past tensions between Jericho and Punk, he was among the first to congratulate Punk on his WWE return match win.
