CM Punk Appears at ‘No Kings Day’ Protest in Chicago Amid Nationwide Unrest

By | June 14, 2025

CM Punk was spotted showing solidarity with protestors in downtown Chicago during the “No Kings Day” demonstrations, adding a surprising twist to the ongoing conversation around civil unrest. Photos captured Punk smiling alongside organizers and supporters outside a packed gathering near the Loop, where thousands took to the streets across the country.

While Rob Van Dam addressed the national protests from his One of a Kind livestream, warning about rising violence and chaos, Punk was seen right in the middle of the action.

Dressed in a black “SAVAGE” hoodie and baseball cap, Punk posed for photos with protest speakers and supporters. The moment reflected Punk’s long-standing willingness to stand up for causes he believes in, even when they come with controversy.

RVD, meanwhile, took a different tone—acknowledging the right to protest but drawing a line when it comes to criminal behavior during demonstrations.

“Yeah, you know, you can protest. The First Amendment gives us the right to protest… as long as you’re not breaking the law while you’re doing that. And that’s what people are doing. If you’re throwing rocks and s**, stealing and s*** while you’re protesting—then no, that s*** doesn’t make it legal.”*

He added a warning for anyone thinking about joining in on riots or property damage:

“You’re gonna get caught on camera. They’re going to come back after you just like they did when they stormed the White House.”

While RVD took a cautionary route, Punk’s in-person appearance at the protest signals a more active role—aligning himself with causes close to his heart and the community he calls home.

In a time where every move from public figures is scrutinized, CM Punk didn’t shy away from being on the front lines in Chicago. Whether it’s backstage at WWE or on the street, he’s going to show up where he feels it matters.
