Cody Rhodes’ Injury Causes WWE To Make Several Changes To Hell In A Cell Plans

By | June 5, 2022

Cody Rhodes was unable to work a WWE house show on Saturday night. The American Nightmare was said to be injured and now there is concern about how bad that injury is. Hell in a Cell appears to be a go, but anything can change right now.

Rhodes is scheduled to compete in the only Hell in a Cell match during the Hell in a Cell event, so his injury status could change a lot of things. As of this writing, WWE has not publicly addressed Rhodes’ injury status.

Wrestle Votes tweeted out to say that the news about Rhodes’ injury is accurate, but he is still scheduled to work the Hell in a Cell match. That being said, plans for that match have shifted a few times.

Unfortunately, the Cody Rhodes injury news going around is accurate. He is still scheduled to work tonight’s HIAC event, w/ the severity of the injury still being determined. I’m told plans for the match have been changing all day long. Feel terrible for Cody.

We have not been able to confirm the extent of Cody’s injury at this time. We will have to see what he is able to do at Hell in a Cell. Hopefully whatever this issue is won’t stop him from performing in that already dangerous structure.
