Ex WWE NXT Referee Drake Wuertz Running For Florida State Representative

By | August 5, 2021

WWE released Drake Wuertz from his NXT contract in another round of recent budget cuts. He made headlines prior to this, because of his activities outside of the ring.

Drake is an outspoken political person and he leans heavily to the right, so much so that QAnon theories and Wuertz’s name were often spoken in the same sentence. He even missed a taping of NXT’s television show so he could argue about mask mandates at a school board meeting.

The former deathmatch wrestler is taking his passion for politics to another level. Now he is campaigning to become a Florida State Representative. VoteDrake is a real website and it also contains the following statement.

The land we love has changed in recent years. We’ve seen our liberties and rights be stripped away at the quake of others fears. We’ve been told that it’s selfish to defend our God-given Rights. We’ve seen leaders become sheep, and men become lions. We’ve seen Florida rise to  lead a Nation. Our way of life that we hold so dearly is now at risk of being overtaken by the Marxist left. Florida needs bold representatives to champion our values, preserve our freedoms, and stand tall against the threats on our great state. Drake Wuertz represents the bold new wave of conservatism.

Drake is a Husband, Father, Constitutionalist, and a proven leader in our community. Drake, his wife Valerie, and their 3 young children proudly reside in Central Florida. As a professional wrestler for over 20 years and an elected leader in his local Republican Party, Drake has taken the fight from the ring to the public square in defense of our most vulnerable. Now he’s stepping up as a Republican candidate to represent the hard working constituents of District 30 in our State Legislature.

We’ll have to see if Drake Wuertz gets the votes he needs to get the office. Constituents in Florida’s 30th District will have the final say-so in this case. Stay posted as we continue monitoring this ongoing story.
