WWE released Hit Row from their contracts and now fans are wondering why. There could have been a bit of heat on the stable, especially Top Dolla.
We previously reported that WWE was thinking about big plans for Hit Row. There was also a bit of backstage heat on Top Dolla in the process. This seems to be the case as now a new report is out about heat on AJ Francis.
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that he heard Top Dolla had some heat on him in NXT. That song the stable did about B-Fab after her WWE release didn’t help them out either.
“As I said B-Fab signed a deal and then she was cut a week later. Then, I haven’t heard it, but I heard about it, I don’t know if this is the sole reason, but Hit Row did a song, like a tribute song to the fired B-Fab, and the next thing we know they’re fired.”
“Listen, I don’t know why they were fired. I do know that there was heat. I don’t know if it was over strictly over the song. I do know in NXT there were people who weren’t fans of Top Dolla. Top Dolla was good, the people who were important in NXT, your Hunters and whatnot, they liked him, others did not. I did hear that he had heat in NXT. I was told that part of the reason they were released was due to some kind of heat.”
Now the entire Hit Row faction is waiting for their non-compete clauses to expire. We will have to see if any members of the group link back up out side of WWE, but the questions will remain about why they were fired before really getting a chance to shine in WWE.
