How Many Tickets WWE Sold For Money In The Bank Before Venue Change

By | May 27, 2022

This year’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event was initially scheduled to take place inside the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, abysmal ticket sales forced WWE to move the event to a smaller venue. More details about the move have also been revealed.

WWE announced that the July 2nd event will be taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This was first reported by Brad Shepard, which WWE later confirmed.

According to WrestleTix Patreon, the final estimate for the Money In The Bank event inside the Allegiant Stadium was 24,867, which means the company had 17,924 tickets distributed. The MGM Arena will have a capacity of 12,000, but it appears that they didn’t even have every section for Allegiant Stadium opened up yet.

The last available count I grabbed as soon as I found out about the rumors (assuming if they were true, the ticket map might come down fast) was 6,943.

I went through the seating chart again and had to adjust my estimate as the upper decks were never fully opened. My final estimate for the setup was 24,867, which means they had 17,924 tickets distributed. MGM Grand Garden Arena will likely have a setup of around 12,000.

There wasn’t a lot of movement for this show over the past few months as some of you noticed. I noted from the beginning this would be a tough one since UFC was on the same night and another stadium show in Nashville was less than a month away as well.

Presale for the MGM Garden will start next Wednesday, June 1st at 10 AM PST. We will have to wait and see whether the company will manage to sell enough tickets this time around. CM Punk also made a hilarious joke about the current situation.
