Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill Card Gets Another Change

By | January 8, 2022

Impact Wrestling can’t catch a break as the company prepares for tonight’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view event. News broke yesterday that The Iinspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay) would be unable to defend the Knockouts Tag Team titles after an exposure to COVID-19. Impact announced another change to the card earlier today.

Jake Something was originally set to compete against Laredo Kid, Chris Bey, and Ace Austin. The company tweeted that Jake was pulled from the lineup and replaced by “Speedball” Mike Bailey. No reason was given for the replacement.

Impact Wrestling had a decent amount of momentum leading up to the show. Two matches have now been changed. The Iinspiration is one of the promotion’s most popular acts. Jake Something now joins the list of wrestlers being removed ahead of the event.

No replacement was announced for the Knockouts tag team match. That means Tenille Dashwood and Madison Rayne are likely off the show as well. That would make five Impact stars who were scheduled to wrestle but cannot.

Fans are still hoping to see an exciting and compelling show. The event has been sold out for over a week. Impact will attempt to put on an excellent show even if they’re shorthanded.

Hard to Kill kicks off with a free preshow on YouTube at 7:30. The main card will feature the first ever Knockouts Ultimate X match as well as a world title bout between Moose, Matt Cardona, and W. Morrisey. We will have our eyes peeled for any additional changes to tonight’s lineup.
