Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai brought the fight to Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray but it was the indomitable duo that got the last laugh or, dare we say, the victory pin. Yes, you read that right.

Tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 featured the final of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and it got every bit of intense to say the least. The match pitted Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray against Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai.

Io and Kay Lee entered the match as former NXT and NXT UK Women’s Champion respectively. Dakota, on the other hand, is the winner of the inaugural Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Raquel Gonzalez. That makes Wendy the odd one out.

The match featured several great spots such as suicide dives, top rope slams and much more. The match ended when Io and Kay Lee delivered a KRL Bomb on Wendy followed by a moonsault from Io that sealed the victory.

The winners took the mic following their victory. Kay Lee said they’d be cashing in their shot, but not the tag titles. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion laid down the challenge to NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose.

This makes the women’s title match a fatal-four way between Mandy, Cora Jade, Kay Lee and Io at NXT: Stand & Deliver. The pay-per-view event takes place inside the American Airlines Center Saturday, April 2nd.
