Jinder Mahal Wants Punjabi Prison Match Against Drew McIntyre

By | July 31, 2021

WWE has many gimmick matches that they can use if needed. Jinder Mahal knows all about the Punjabi Prison match, and he wouldn’t mind going back into that unforgiving structure.

Mahal is currently in a feud with Drew McIntyre. The two former 3MB members are at odds with each other and could really tear it up in that dreaded gimmick match. The structure is dangerous it really hurts to take bumps off that bamboo. Mahal is down to get back into that situation.

El Brunch de WWE recently spoke to Mahal where he remembered his Battleground 2017 match in that famous gimmick structure. He then proposed that McIntyre could be a great opponent in that match very soon.

So Great Khali actually designed the match. He was supposed to be in the first one, he was actually in the second one ever and then I was in the third one and it’s a very vicious, brutal match. The Punjabi Prison is… hopefully, I don’t have to do it too many times in my career because going into the Punjabi Prison, you know you’re not gonna be the same person when you leave. That match takes everything out of you and Great Khali is the creator of the match and then when I was in the Punjabi Prison, Great Khali surprised everyone and made his return, so yeah, hopefully — you know what? I wouldn’t mind having Drew [McIntyre] in the Punjabi Prison.

We’ll have to see if WWE breaks out the Punjabi Prison from the warehouse for this feud. There’s always a chance that it could lead to that. As long as Bobby Lashley is WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre can’t challenge for his title. So, he needs to keep himself occupied. He might as well battle with Jinder Mahal in a Punjabi Prison match in the meantime.
