Jon Moxley Blasted By Disco Inferno For Stepping Down From AEW Main Event Scene

By | October 30, 2021

Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and became one of the mainstays of the company since then. He is also confident when it comes to AEW getting more fans thanks to its diverse product. It seems Moxley got blasted for his current portrayal in pro wrestling.

Moxley also isn’t afraid of competing in ultra-violent matches as he made a name for himself in such matches in the past. This includes his matches against GCW legend Nick Gage.

Earlier this month, Jon Moxley defended the GCW World Championship against Nick Gage in a deathmatch. It was certainly a violent affair as he managed to retain the title after a hard-fought match. Many fans feel Moxley and Gage have made hardcore wrestling relevant again.

While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno talked about Jon Moxley’s current pro wrestling run. Inferno blasted Jon Moxley for still competing in violent matches. He stated that Moxley is taking a step down from the main event scene as well.

“Main eventers do not bleed all over the place with flashlights and lightbulbs. Any main eventer in any major company that you view as a main event talent, the definitely should not be doing that. Plus, he is not a main eventer, he was a world champion, so he has taken a step down. What are they doing? Put him in the main event, and he is like more of a draw.”

Jon Moxley is currently competing in the AEW World Title Elimination tournament, It remains to be seen if he will be able to win the tournament or not. On top of that, Moxley will continue to do what makes him happy and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
