KENTA Takes Major Shot At WWE

By | October 20, 2021

KENTA is definitely loving his time in New Japan. The Bullet Club member joined Chase Owens on his Twitch channel for a Q&A session following his defeat at the hands of Kota Ibushi during the A Block finals of the G1 Climax tournament.

The 40-year-old compared his ongoing tenure with New Japan to WWE, saying he’s much happier in NJPW. “Yeah, I’m happy now. Much more than when I was in — I forgot the name but WW-something,” he said.

When asked how does he feel about other wrestlers using the GTS, a move he invented and popularized during his time in Pro Wrestling NOAH, the former GHC Heavyweight Champion he doesn’t mind seeing other wrestlers using his move “except CM Punk.”

“I don’t care, so I’m happy if people want to see my move and then they want to use [it], except CM Punk.”

There’s no denying that KENTA has taken his jab game to the next level ever since he signed a full-time contract with NJPW in 2019. The former NEVER Openweight Champion has already expressed his desire to face Punk in a match.
