Kurt Angle Marked Out When He Was Part Of The Shield

By | January 3, 2022

WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has not returned to pro wrestling since his release, but that didn’t stop WWE from offering him a role. Angle also revealed the exorbitant amount of money he’d need to wrestle one more match. It seems Angle had a great time being part of The Shield.

Kurt Angle had a tremendous career in WWE, spanning multiple World Title runs and incredible matches. This is because he faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer.

Kurt Angle became a temporary member of The Shield at the TLC pay-per-view in 2017 after Roman Reigns had to take time off due to an illness. Angle teamed with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to face Kane, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Cesaro, and Sheamus in a 5-on-3 handicap match. The Shield would end up winning the match.

While speaking during a recent Q&A session on his podcast, Kurt Angle said that The Shield is one of the best factions in pro wrestling history. Angel also added that he was marking out when he was part of the faction.

“Yeah, I was marking out. I was a fanboy. I was with The Shield up in the crowd and I’m like, ‘Holy s**t. This is great. I’m actually part of The Shield tonight.’ I was all smiles even all the way in the ring. It’s just so much fun. You know, those guys, I’ve had a lot of respect for them over the years and the success they had was unparalleled. They’re one of the best factions in the history of wrestling, and to be a part of that one night was just a huge honor.”

Vince McMahon also made Angle memorize a 3-page script in 10 minutes. Kurt Angle is enjoying his life in retirement after WrestleMania 35. We certainly wonder if he will make his return to pro wrestling one way or the other.
