Kyle O’Reilly ended up in AEW after departing from WWE. Now he is locking down his nickname to make sure people know who he is.
AEW star Kyle O’Reilly filed a trademark application for his nickname. It’s documented in USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) records. According to the records, O’Reilly filed a trademark application for “Violent Artist” on February 2.
O’Reilly has been using the name since May 4, 2016, according to the filing. O’Reilly’s USPTO filing included a description. It says: “Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer”.
In early December, O’Reilly left WWE NXT. Later that month, he signed with AEW. He debuted on the December 22 edition of Dynamite after signing with AEW.
He’s allied himself with former partners. These partners are from the Undisputed Era. Adam Cole and Bobby Fish will be his partners from now on.
In AEW, O’Reilly has only competed in one match. He won with Cole and Fish on the December 29 New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite. He defeated Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, and Trent Beretta in that match.
