Lita Defends Vince McMahon’s Decision To Announce Returning Royal Rumble Entrants In Advance

By | March 27, 2022

WWE Hall Of Famer Lita is one of the pioneers of women’s wrestling. This is because she helped lay the foundation for what became the current landscape of women’s wrestling. She also defended Vince McMahon’s controversial Royal Rumble decision recently.

Prior to the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, WWE had announced that the likes of Summer Rae, Mickie James, Lita and others were going to appear in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Many fans were furious with this decision as well as former WWE personalities. While speaking on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions show, Lita talked about Vince McMahon’s controversial decision. Lita admitted that while she was against it at first, she now realizes it was a good decision.

“I was like, ‘Okay, isn’t that taking away the thing that’s the most fun for the audience, the surprises? But all right, I’m not the company’s owner, whatever. It ended up being the best thing for me because they announced me, the crowd popped, they had me come a couple of weeks before and the crowd was so excited.”

Lita last competed in a solid match against Becky Lynch at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on February 19th. We’ll have to see if Lita will return to WWE television eventually or not.
