Mauro Ranallo Didn’t Like What Was Happening Or Who Was Involved In WWE NXT

Mauro Ranallo left WWE after SummerSlam, and he left that dream job behind. He can now look back at his WWE career a bit differently in retrospect.

Ranallo recently spoke to Post Wrestling about his tenure with the company. He spoke out how mentally grueling it was to be a part of the company. Plans changed on a regular basis, and they kept switching up his announce teams.

The Bi-Polar Rock n Roller also admitted that he might have been the problem. The situations can be stressful while changing on the fly. Due to how serious he takes his job on show days, he would rather be left alone.

I get the stressful situations and the changes on the fly and the system, but for my mental health, even moving to NXT — when we were live, it was the best experience I could ask for, and that’s a testament to what Triple H and everyone in NXT has done. I just felt, for my own mental health, even doing the show from home, it was to the point where I would have a panic attack in the morning of the recordings in the last few months.”

“All respect, I didn’t like what was happening and who was involved. All respect to all announcers, I believe in chemistry. Maybe I was the problem. On show day, I’m not a great guy to be around because I’m focused. I’m prepared and I expect everyone else to be the same. I’m a play-by-play announcer, and I think I’m one of the best in business, I need to be left alone at times.

Mauro Ranallo did not leave the commentary game at all. He still appears for Showtime Boxing and he even announced the recent Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr blockbuster pay-per-view event. We’ll likely hear Mauro Ranallo’s voice for years to come, but it’s not likely to be on WWE television.
