Mike Tyson Gave VERY SHORT Notice Before Latest AEW Booking

By | May 1, 2021

Mike Tyson is going to do what Mike Tyson is going to do. He is the Baddest Man on the Planet and very unpredictable too. His recent appearance for All Elite Wrestling saw him join Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle, but they didn’t have a ton of notice.

While talking to Wrestling Observer Radio, Chris Jericho revealed that Mike Tyson gave AEW three days notice that they had him booked. That put them into quite a booking frenzy to figure out how they were going to use Iron Mike on their TNT show.

“When we found out that Mike Tyson was available we had three days to book something that enhances the Inner Circle and the Pinnacle storyline, that doesn’t detract to just shoehorn Mike Tyson in and most of the ideas were for the second night, the taped show, so we’ve got Mike Tyson you can’t not have him come out in front of a live crowd. Mike also going to be Mike. He’s going to do whatever he wants and there’s a total element of unpredictability when he’s in the ring. That’s part of the fun of Mike Tyson. You don’t know what he’s going to do.”

Mike Tyson showed up on Dynamite and had quite a time. He aligned himself with Chris Jericho and took out the bad guy Pinnacle stable. It came together alright, but they didn’t have a ton of notice at all.
