Mina Shirakawa Becomes #1 Contender For Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s Title During 5/14 Dynamite

By | May 14, 2025

The AEW Dynamite Beach Break event was a very special episode of AEW Dynamite on May 14, 2025. The show went down at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and fans saw a lot of things go down for the women’s division in one huge four-way match.

This week’s AEW Dynamite included a big match for two women on the AEW roster. Skye Blue was making her way back to the ring after a 10-month injury hiatus. Also, Mina Shirakawa was celebrating her new AEW contract with her first match as a full-time contracted competitor under Tony Khan’s company.

AEW presented a Women’s World Title Eliminator four-way match featuring Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Skye Blue, and AZM. Naturally, all four ladies fought for themselves, and they left it all in the ring.

Toni Storm previously survived a four-way eliminator and agreed to face three more challengers at Beach Break. Storm faced Shirakawa, Blue, and AZM in a single-fall eliminator match. If any challenger pinned Storm, they would earn a future AEW Women’s World Title match.
