Nikki Bella made her WWE return on the June 9, 2025 episode of RAW—and she didn’t just make headlines with a fiery promo and Liv Morgan face-off. Behind the scenes, Nikki turned down a private locker room, choosing instead to be with the current generation of female Superstars.
On her podcast, Nikki opened up about the backstage moment, revealing WWE had reserved a locker room just for her. But she wasn’t interested in being separated from the rest of the women.
“Like they had my own locker room for me and I was like, ‘No way, I’m going in [with the] female talent.’ Like I want to be with them.”
Nikki explained that she wanted to show respect and solidarity with today’s WWE women’s division—not act like she was above them.
“I’m always like a little shy, which people don’t expect… and then it was just—it became warm and fun so quick.”
This wasn’t the only moment Nikki kept it real. She also talked about flubbing Stephanie Vaquer’s name during her promo and how nerves got the best of her, despite all the rehearsal.
“I feel like I’m still saying it wrong… I even was asking her, but she says that of course in a beautiful Latina accent… when I would repeat it after her, she’s like, ‘Perfect.’”
“But then I wanted to say it with some spice, so I got to work on that. I’m so bad, like pronouncing, you and I with our pronunciation at times.”
Despite those nerves, Nikki said her experience with live podcast shows helped her hold it together.
“I haven’t been on that kind of stage in so long… but that helped, so that relaxed the nerves a bit.”
She also praised Liv Morgan for bringing serious heat to the segment.
“I was shocked when Liv came out like a fireball. It was like incredible. I was like, ‘Oh shoot. Whoa.’”
Whether it was giving the women’s locker room her respect or admitting she still gets nervous, Nikki Bella showed she’s all about authenticity—and she’s not coming back to stand apart, she’s coming back to stand with.
