Persia Pirotta Was Worried WWE Would Burn Her Contract

By | May 9, 2022

Stephanie De Landre is an Australian professional wrestler who eventually made her way to WWE. She used to wrestle as Persia Pirotta on NXT, but she was recently released. Pirotta was also worried WWE would burn her contract for a bit during her run with Vince McMahon’s company.

As previously reported, Persia Pirotta was among the many NXT talent released by the company in recent memory. This did not end up shocking her whatsoever and she had a solid reason for that.

While speaking with Sean Ross Sapp, Persia Pirotta talked about her time in WWE. Pirotta revealed that she was worried WWE would burn her contract.

“So I signed my contract in 2019. But I was still doing indies and doing all these things. I was in this really weird limbo of still wrestling back home to stay safe and to stay relevant. But at the same time I was being really careful. God forbid I get injured, you know what I mean? I was only wrestling people I really trusted and I felt comfortable with. But it was a really tough time because I had signed, but I couldn’t just put everything on hold and wrap myself in bubble wrap for two or three years or five years or God forbid they just burn my contract.”

WWE also had a lot of plans for Persia Pirotta prior to her release. Persia Pirotta also made it clear she won’t let her WWE release destroy her. She is certainly lighting up social media with thirst trap photos. We’ll have to see what is next in store for Pirotta.
