The entire pro wrestling world was surprised when R-Truth returned at the end of the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. This happened after a ton of fan outrage but now it appears Ricochet has called out fans for being hypocrites following Truth’s return.
Ricochet took to Twitter and called out fans for being hypocrites after WWE brought back R-Truth. He pointed out how, when Tony Khan changed Mina Shirakawa’s entrance music back to her original, fans criticized him, saying things like, “Tony just does whatever the fans want.”
However, when WWE brought someone like R-Truth back after letting him go, those same fans say, “Oh, we got worked!” Ricochet mocked the reaction, calling fans “a bunch of mental patients” for being absolute hypocrites.
“I remember when Tony changed Mina’s music back to her original music and the fans shit on him saying, ” Tony let’s the fans make decisions.” But now, when an entire company hires someone back, it’s “aww we got worked.” Haha a bunch of mental patients.”
We have previously reported that the real reason R-Truth was brought back was due to the severe backlash from fans during every WWE show this past week, which left WWE with no choice.
With R-Truth back in the fold and Ricochet pointing out the hypocrisy, there’s now a big discussion about fan influence and hypocrisy again. Some fans agree with what Ricochet said, but at the end of the day, what matters most to many is that R-Truth is back in WWE.
Do you agree with Ricochet’s take on fan hypocrisy, or do you think wrestlers should be more understanding of passionate audiences? Sound off in the comments.
