Roman Reigns and Finn Balor battled in the main event of Extreme Rules. It appeared that Balor’s Demon was going to rally and win the match, but then the unthinkable happened.

Balor rallied on Reigns as the league took a bath in red light and his Demon music played. This was followed by Reigns taking a bump through a table and then Balor tossed him in the ring while smoke started billowing from under the squared circle.

Just as The Demon was about to hit a Coup De Gras from the top rope, the turnbuckle collapsed and he fell to the mat. This gave Roman Reigns an opportunity to hit a spear and win the match.

“What type of bush league? How the hell does that happen?!” Pat McAfee asked on commentary while Roman Reigns celebrated in the ring. Fans in Columbus were left stunned as the Tribal Chief walked out as the WWE Universal Champion.
