Ronda Rousey May Fly Into St. Louis On Day Of Royal Rumble

By | January 27, 2022

Ronda Rousey is one of the many performers expected to show up at the Women’s Royal Rumble. It was recently revealed that the former Women’s Champion had a meeting with WWE officials for a potential appearance Saturday.

Wrestling News is now reporting that Rousey isn’t expected to land in St. Louis today or tomorrow and that she may be flown to the Missouri city on the day of the event as a way to keep her return a surprise.

“One source told us that the general feeling among some people in management is that they are not unhappy about word getting out about Rousey returning because it adds more buzz for the show without them having to explicitly say that she’s back.”

According to PWInsider, Rousey’s makeup person is expected to be in St. Louis this weekend. No one from the former UFC Bantamweight Champion’s camp is at the WWE hotel in St. Louis as of this writing.

Rousey last appeared for WWE television in the main event of WrestleMania 35 on April 8, 2019. She and Charlotte Flair lost their RAW and SmackDown Women’s titles to Becky Lynch in a Winner Takes All triple threat match.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Bad Bunny is booked for the Royal Rumble. Shane McMahon is also going to be a part of the night. We will have continued coverage so keep checking back for everything you need to know!
