Some Fired WWE Superstars Were Asking For Release

By | June 2, 2021

WWE released six Superstars from the main roster today and fans are a bit surprised. Now fans are dealing with the aftershock of losing so many members of the WWE roster on the same day.

Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were all cut today. Some of those people wanted to leave the company.

Not all of those releases came to those who wanted them. That is not the case for everyone. According to Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast’s Andrew Zarian, some recently fired Superstars wanted to be released.

Some of these names are people who were looking to get released.

WWE has taken a very different approach when it comes to this.

We’re not sure who wanted to get their release. It was common knowledge that Murphy was not happy at all. Santana Garrett was also frustrated after spending so much time backstage and not being used after her main roster call-up.

Aleister Black has already reacted in shock after his release came through. It appears that WWE did grant some release requests today, but those names are not 100% clear at this time.

Who do you think wanted their release from WWE? Sound off in the comments!
