Sting Not Medically Cleared To Travel For AEW Double Or Nothing

By | May 25, 2022

Sting is one of pro wrestling’s all-time greats and there’s no arguing that. Sting made his pro wrestling debut in 1985 and went on to win countless championships in different promotions. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, but he won’t be able to make Double or Nothing or the fan fest.

Sting tried to make the save for the Hardy Brothers after they were jumped by Adam Cole and company during Dynamite last week. The icon delivered some nasty shots to the Bucks before getting laid out by a super kick.

SuperKliq and ReDragon then trapped Sting’s leg inside a steel chair. Kyle O’Reilly landed on the helpless icon with a flying knee, causing a nasty injury to the former WCW Champion.

AEW provided an injury update on Sting tonight after Dynamite. The promotion revealed that Sting is not medically cleared to travel and will, therefore, miss the Double or Nothing meet and greet this Saturday.

Due to injury last week, @Sting has not been cleared to travel & will unfortunately not be at this Saturday’s #AEWDoN Fan Fest Meet & Greets. For fans who purchased tickets to see #TheIcon, Watch your inbox for information on refunds

It is unknown if Sting will be at the pay-per-view event itself. SuperKliq will be in action this Sunday at DoN as Adam Cole squares off against Samoa Joe in the Owen Hart Men’s Tournament finals. Young Bucks take on the Hardy Brothers at the May 29th show. Check out the card right here.
