The Rock Lands Another DC Character Role

By | May 21, 2021

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that.

The Rock is also involved with DC as he will be portraying the role of Black Adam in DCEU’s upcoming film of the same name. Now it seems he will now be starring in yet another DC movie, only this time – it’ll be an animated movie.

According to a report by Deadline, The Rock is slated to voice Krypto the Super Dog in the new animated movie DC League of Super-Pets. The film will be produced by Johnson’s company Seven Bucks alongside Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.

It was further reported that “Warner Bros. brass are really impressed by” the movie, which will be an “animated superhero action-adventure”. According to Variety, the animated flick will see Krypto and a flying cat team up while Superman is away to tend to other things.

The film will be written and directed by Jared Stern for Warner Bros. and Warner Animation Group and Sam Levine will be the co-director. The film is slated to release in theaters on May 20, 2022 and as it is a movie intended for children, there is no doubt they will enjoy the movie. We will have to see how it will turn out to be when it drops next year.
