Triple H Reveals Why the Time Is Finally Right to Bring Back Evolution 2

By | June 7, 2025

WWE Evolution 2 is officially happening, and now Triple H is shedding light on why it took so long to bring it back.

Speaking at the Money in the Bank 2025 post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked by reporter Emily Mae about the return of the all-women’s event. His response made it clear—this wasn’t a last-minute move. He’s been trying to make it happen for years.

“I wanted to do Evolution 2 since Evolution 1. Probably even before we did it, I was trying to figure out how to do Evolution 2. For a lot of different reasons, the timing wasn’t right. Now it is. I’m thrilled to be able to do it again.”

The Game emphasized that WWE’s women’s division has grown so much since the first Evolution in 2018 that fitting everyone on the card might be the biggest challenge.

“The truth is, as amazing as the women in our business were then, it’s grown exponentially. The biggest trick we’ll have is how do we build that card out and have that many women and fit as many people into that card. Everyone is going to want to be a part of it, and we want to make sure everybody gets to do something. That will be the trickiest part.”

According to Triple H, fan demand played a huge role—but the excitement within the locker room is just as real.

“What’s awesome for us is the demand for it. Across the fanbase, people have been asking for it… When talent first start to catch wind of, ‘We’re doing Evolution again?’ You see that gleam in their eye and their excitement about it, it’s awesome.”

He also pointed out that many of today’s WWE women grew up watching the first event and have been dreaming of their own shot.

“A lot of these women watched the first one and for them, while they thought about being on Raw and SmackDown and dream about WrestleMania, I’m sure a lot of those women were like, ‘If they did another [Evolution], that would be incredible,’ and here we are. I can’t wait to build that platform and watch them crush it. It’s what they do every time.”

With the event confirmed, attention now turns to who will land a spot on the card and how WWE plans to top what they did in 2018.
