UFC Fires Addison Rae After Fan Backlash

By | July 10, 2021

UFC hired TikTok star Addison Rae to be a red carpet correspondent for UFC 264. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but that tenue with the Ultimate Fighting Championship didn’t last long.

Rae sparked a huge controversy when she tweeted out two photos of herself in front of the UFC red carpet set with a caption that irritated a lot of people. Some grind their entire careers to get a gig like the one Rae was handed, and her tweet did not really show the most respect for the job.

“I studied broadcast journalism in college for three whole months to prepare for this.”

Fans were a bit irritated by this tweet and they fired off replies. The UFC apparently listened and they fired her for the tweet. She later tweeted out to let fans know about her termination as she blamed them for it.

nvm y’all got me fired.

Addison Rae has other projects in the works and she’s also flooded with endorsement deals as a TikTok star. She will land on her feet, but it won’t be under the UFC banner.
