WWE Asked Ric Flair To Sign Away His Intellectual Property When He Was On Life Support

By | November 24, 2021

WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair shocked the world after requesting his release from WWE earlier this year. It was previously said that Ric Flair wants one more in-ring run. It seems WWE asked Flair to sign his intellectual property when he was on life support.

Ric Flair also made it clear that he did not request his release because of his relationship with WWE. Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring focused on The Plane Ride From Hell, which ultimately led to everyone trying to cancel Ric Flair as well.

Ric Flair was removed from WWE’s opening video package as his ‘woo’ was edited out and got replaced by The Ultimate Warrior. While speaking on his podcast, Woooo Nation UNCENSORED, Ric Flair claimed that WWE tried to have Ric Flair sign over his intellectual property to them while he was on life support several years ago.

“Let me just tell you something else that should not shock the world. When I saw that they took me off the opening and all that for whatever reason, you know, Who knows? I call it a lack of respect. Some people, some people said to me, ‘Ric, how do you feel about that? I said, ‘Well, after they asked me to sign my intellectual property to them while I was on life support, nothing that company does surprises me.’”

Ric Flair also made it abundantly clear that he will never work for WWE ever again. Flair also recently stated that he would rather die in the ring than spend a month in the ICU. Should he compete in another match, we will have to wait and see which company he will call his home next.
