WWE Edits Classic Rock Segment From Peacock

By | January 12, 2022

WWE’s move to Peacock was met with a lot of upset fans. When word got out that classic WWE footage was getting a modern edit, even more fans were furious. That won’t stop WWE from continuing that trend.

This newly cut segment occurred on March 23rd, 2003, days prior to The Rock and Steve Austin’s final WrestleMania confrontation. The Rock was a heel and using that different entrance music that he never used again while milking his Hollywood gimmick. It was a tremendous segment, but now it is no longer on Peacock.

WWE edited out a huge chunk, practically every bit, of The Rock’s first Rock Concert. This change was done in recent memory and now it is the talk of the Internet Wrestling Community that the segment was scrubbed from history.

Vince McMahon’s company is chopping up footage for any number of reasons. We’re not 100% sure exactly why they would want to edit out this classic Rock segment, but that is the call they made.

Strangely enough, The Rock Concert was also hosted on WWE’s official website, but that video now shows as an error if played.

In case you need a refresher, it appears that we have tracked down the segment and you can find it below.
