WWE Granted Chelsea Green Early Release From Non-Compete Clause

By | July 11, 2021

WWE generally keeps released Superstars under a strict 90-day non-compete clause. That is not the case for a few Superstars who receive permission to get let out of their deals early.

Chelsea Green arrived in ROH tonight at the Best in the World pay-per-view. A lot of people were wondering how that happened since they can count to 90, and Green still had time left in her non-compete clause.

According to Sean Ross Sapp, Chelsea Green asked for her release from that 90-day non-compete clause and it was granted.

You’ll notice this is before Chelsea Green’s non-compete was scheduled to be up. We confirmed with WWE sources recently that she was one of those that asked for an early out on it.

We’ll have to see if anyone else from WWE’s last crop of releases is granted an early release from their non-compete clause. There are a lot of possibilities out there in the pro wrestling world and even Joe Biden has spoken out in the past about his much he disapproves of non-compete clauses.
